Mark Egermier, CFP®

Mark started his career in the Financial Services industry with MetLife after graduating with his Bachelors in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004.  There, he worked as a Financial Services Representative assisting individual clients with their financial goals, and eventually taking a role as a Functional Manager where he helped train new agents.  MetLife offered many educational opportunities that helped Mark gain his knowledge and expertise in insurance products and planning as well as a better understanding with the complexities of annuities.

In January of 2008, he joined Egermier Wealth Management Group as a LPL Financial Advisor.  After completing the additional courses required to sit for the exam, Mark obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner designation (CFP®) in 2013.  This allowed him to deepen his knowledge into the many areas of Financial Planning, including Cash Flow Management, Risk Management, Investment Planning, Tax Planning Strategies, and Estate Planning.  This additional education has allows him to assist in all facets of Financial Planning, but preretirement and retirement are areas of focus and expertise.  Other licenses he currently holds include Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Disability Insurance, a Series 7 General Securities Registration, and a Series 65 as a LPL Investment Advisor Representative with both securities registrations held through LPL Financial.

Community service has always been an important part of his family's life, and he and his wife, Michaela, continue to volunteer their time with various organizations and causes they are passionate about.  One organization which he has actively worked on as a member of the board of directors is the Cancer Alliance of Nebraska.  This non-profit organization focuses on getting clinical drug trials available to cancer patients across the state of Nebraska.   Since starting in this role back in 2016, he has been an active part of their Finance Committee where the organization feels his expertise can best be used.

Mark has also been an active member of the Nebraska Financial Education Coalition since 2009, and has served on the board since 2014 as both President and Vice President during his term.  This group focuses on financial awareness and education across the state of Nebraska, and is an affiliate of the national non-profit organization Jump$tart.

Spending time with his family, and raising his two children has always been an important and rewarding aspect of Mark's life.  He was married to his wife in June of 2016, has two children, Brooks and McKenna, and yellow lab, Cash.  Michaela works as a Certified Dental Assistant for the Tooth Doc, and actively volunteers downtown to help assist in providing free dental care to those in need.  She is also working to obtain a second degree focused on Interior Design as decorating homes is one of her many passions.  McKenna and Brooks enjoy participating in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities which always has the household on the move.  McKenna is a part of a select traveling softball team called Elkhorn Edge.  Brooks participates in Football, Basketball, and Baseball as well as Scouts.  He has also taken up the Cello as his musical instrument of choice.  The family enjoys traveling when they can fit it in, and a destination with a beach is usually the option of choice.
